The Eternal Question: “What is My Purpose in Life?”

I have often asked myself (and God) “what is my purpose in life?”. And many times, He has responded “that is not a question, it is a lifestyle”. Nothing can be further from the truth. Let me explain…

I will give you the example of Moses. Before he was called by God to lead his people out of Egypt, he was already living his purpose. He was when he took action to help the Israelite slave that was being beaten, and when he came to the rescue of the women who were being harassed in the wilderness. The call was not yet made, yet he was already living like one. It came natural to him.

Now, that doesn’t mean that it will come easy. Living a life of purpose means many will not agree with you, will look at you different, will even make your life difficult. Just look at how difficult the pharaoh made everything for Moses. Yet, God was always with him, as he was with Abraham, and Joseph, and Joshua, and… you know how many 😊.

By the way… I emojis. Feel they add emotion to my words. So expect lots of them! 😉

Anyway, what I am trying to say is purpose doesn’t mean doing great things that will go in the history books. It means doing what you can’t help doing. Like Moses did when he took action to help those in need. This is why I say it is a lifestyle. If you feel like volunteering at a food pantry – do it! If you feel like going to a friend’s house and pray for them – do it! (But call first 😉). Just remember, God made you perfect, even if you don’t feel like it. He has equipped you for your calling and will never let you walk that path alone.

Now go out there and live your purpose!

Love,

Ale
